This video shows points during a practice session between a training partner (former D1) and I (former D2). This was a collection of the points we played throughout the morning. My overall point construction, shot selection and backhand x-court have improved over the last few weeks and this video should reflect the changes.

My focus this morning was to stay as solid as possible from the baseline and only take my chances when I had an absolute chance to. Over the last month, the fitness has gotten much better and the confidence to stay in points longer has increased as well. I wanted to test out the fitness and the shot tolerance to see what the new limits are.

Serve focus: Watching old serve videos I discovered that my explosiveness and leg drive has been lacking. With specific gym work, I'm now able to really explode up to the ball much more and hit a bigger serve.
Return focus: Staying balanced and relaxed as always. My tendency to pull up is not there as much and the backhand cross-court return has improved a good bit. This allows me to get into more points and give up fewer free points.
