Microsoft has made a name for itself as one of the biggest tech giants the world has ever seen, but have you ever wondered what the headquarters look like? The Microsoft headquarters exceed expectations just like the company itself. Spread over a vast area of over five hundred acres, it features running trails, its own shopping mall, a hallway where high fives are mandatory, and a lab for employees to tinker with their own projects. In this video, we'll take you on a digital tour across the buildings and open spaces that make up the iconic headquarters, and show you what actually goes on inside.

Located in Seattle, Washington, the Microsoft headquarters is referred to by employees as a Campus, and it's really built like one. Just like a college or university campus, it has dozens of buildings, sports fields, secluded courtyards, and even treehouses. The site used to be a chicken farm before the company moved into it in February 1986, just before it went public and went on to become one of the greatest tech companies in the market.

You'll get a chance to play with some of Microsoft's latest software acquisitions like Minecraft, and try out some of their latest technology before it hits the market. You can even give your LinkedIn profile a makeover, or walk through the previously mentioned museum for a crash course in the company's history. There's even a Microsoft apparel store with a whole section dedicated to Bing merchandise. If you have a chance to visit building 16, don't miss the courtyard where a certain kind of walk of fame has been installed, commemorating the company's great project launches of the past. Building eight is where a young Bill Gates actually met his future wife, Melinda. They were both working overtime and Bill gathered up all of his courage to go say hello to the beautiful woman working with him. The rest is history.
