OUR EXPERTISE PRODUCING MEDICAL INJECTION MOLDING
Forum has compiled a team of experts from many facets of the medical and technical molding industries. We produce medical device components such as seals, switches, safety-components, covers, housings, fittings, gaskets, valves, lenses, handles, as well as many other components that are found in hospitals, doctors offices, clinics and other places in the health-care industry.
Forum Plastics offers pad printing to provide instruction or company/product identification, assembly of medical instrument components, and custom packaging.
Materials used for medical instrument component applications are suitable for bio-compatibility and sterilization.
Forum Plastics has a family of Micro Molding and Small Part Molding systems designed to support molded components as small as .005 in3 (.08 cm3) or less, in volume. Our tooling, manufacturing and quality support systems are fully integrated into the success of producing these small precise components to support your production needs.
From overmolded medical devices to industrial applications, plastic overmolded components provide superior performance. By overmolding plastic onto or into metal, or plastic onto plastic we are able to create a more-consistent and higher-quality product with superior performance. In addition, it can eliminate complicated assembly and post-molding processes.
PRECISION PLASTIC GEARS
Forum Plastics has experienced engineers and technical staff to produce high quality plastic molded gears that accurately and repeatably meet even the most demanding specifications, Plastic gears are growing larger, more precise, more complex in geometry, and more powerful. High-performance resins and long-fiber compounds are aiding this evolution.
Tolerances needed for precision gears generally go well beyond those defined as “fine”. Here at Forum we are continually upgrading molding machines and equipment with the latest process controls providing the highest accuracy allowing us to hold mold temperature, injection pressure, and other variables within a tight window to allow us to mold high precision gears that meet and exceed your strict requirements.
3D PRINTED PARTS
Forum Plastics ProJet 3D ® is a 3D printing technology known for its customizable material properties and excellent surface finish. It works by jetting UV curable resin onto a build tray in a process that is somewhat similar to inkjet printing. ProJet 3D® offers one of the most advanced industrial 3D printing solutions available, producing parts with incredible precision and speed.
We understand the strict requirements for medical device development and qualification.
