In this clip filmed at a seminar hosted by Sheffield Karate Club, we look at a version of Kubi wa which subsequently transitions into Kata Gatame as a finishing technique. On the seminar one of the core themes was the interface between skills to connect throwing techniques (Nage waza) to close range grappling including locks and strangles and transitioning into ground work for control (ne waza). Final part of the seminar focused on methods of getting back up of the floor to return to a standing position.
