01:02 First benefit of a fasted workout. Choose where you want your blood flow to go.
It takes massive amounts of energy and resources to process food. When you eat before exercise, now you have all of these resources being directed to the breaking down of that meal. Taking macro nutrients turning them into micro bnutriebnts, and you have blood flow now being directed away from your brain and the task at hand, and directed toward your digestion.
If you go into a workout fasted, you now have blood flow being direct toward your workout.
What does this mean? You will crush the workout. It will be some of the best workouts you’ve ever done.

You might have heard from a personal trainer or fitness coach; make sure you eat something before you workout in order to have energy….
Well, it takes 12-18 hours to process that food ; so the energy is not necessarily coming from that meal.

You will deplete your glycogen and your sympathetic tone will one activated which revs up the metabolism.
Dr. Benjamin Bikman, who I recently interviewed on the Keto Kamp Podcast episode 54, he explains the analogy of a metabolic bus. When you eat before a meal this food ,moves to the front of the bus and will be burned as fuel before body fat.

You cause micro tears (trauma) to muscle tissue during a workout. The soreness you experience, your muscles recover through the process of autophagy!
Adapt or die. This forces adaption. Good cells get stronger, bad cells don’t adapt.
