The three rules of sprinting are
Posture, posture, and posture. ✅
Without proper body positions both acceleration and max velocity will be compromised ❌
Learning how to properly transition is the key to unlocking the correct top-end body positions 🔐
1️⃣ Push your hips forward. This will rotate your pelvis into the proper position. Achieve this by tucking your butt in ⬅️
2️⃣ Accelerate through your transition by speeding your hands up as you transition to top end mechanics 🔧
3️⃣ Focus on pushing down through the track directly under your hip while maintaining your hip height and staying tall ⬇️
4️⃣ Maintain proper arm swing. Make sure your arms aren’t too far away from you. Lead the backstroke of the arm swing with your elbow. All while maintaining your arm angle and not opening your arm up 🦾
5️⃣ Stay relaxed and have a slight forward lean to maintain your momentum 🔚
