Talk about a rapid-fire weapon! The Chinese chu ko nu crossbow could fire up to 10 bolts in 20 seconds. These repeating crossbows were first used during the Warring States period of the third century BC. So, while it may not have been the most impressive weapon on the battlefield, its impact on military technology cannot be denied!
