Hey it's Cara here at Powder7 World Headquarters with Lauren and we're talking about our top picks for 2020 all mountain skis. Between 88mm and 99mm underfoot, these are the most versatile skis in the industry, built for everyday skiing east or west.
First up, we have the Black Crows Camox. This is a redesigned version of the Camox Birdie for 2020. These skis have a softer flex and different shape from last year's version, making them more playful and more forgiving. Still, though, they are versatile as ever, at home in bumps and trees and on groomers. We love Black Crows!
Next up, the Icelantic Riveter 95, made right here in Colorado. Icelantic introduced the Riveter series this year as a cross between the groomer-oriented Oracle and the freeride-slanted Maiden. These are the most versatile women's skis they make, and we love them in soft snow, mixed conditions, bumps, trees, and even on groomers. They are forgiving with a softish flex, but they are tough. Oh yeah, you also get a three year warranty on Icelantic skis.
Third, the Elan Ripstick 94W. These are awesome skis for ripping moguls at Mary Jane or trees at Steamboat. They are light, built with carbon stringers, and strong enough to rail groomers. We like them for resort use or for backcountry touring.
And lastly, the Volkl Secret 92. This uber-popular ski comes back unchanged for 2020, so that means aggressive, fast performance in an accessible package. Volkl's Titanal Frame technology gives you strength where you need it while reducing swing weight. That means these skis have no speed limit, yet they are also approachable for advancing intermediates who just want a killer ski.
