This is a clip from my personal fanedit of The Last Jedi, entitled The Resistance Cut.

The biggest problem with this scene, as I'm sure everyone is aware, is Poe's ridiculous "prank call" that brings the scene to a screeching halt and makes General Hux look like an incompetent buffoon. That has been completely removed.

This fixes another problem with the scene: the confusion as to which characters are where. Since Poe is talking to Hux, the audience is led to believe that Poe is attacking the Finalizer, Hux's Star Destroyer. We soon learn that Poe is actually attacking the Dreadnought. Yet Hux orders his own crew to "Open fire!" leading to confusion as to which ship Poe is attacking.

This is no longer an issue, and it is immediately clear that Hux and his crew are watching Poe from afar.

I also took out the humor scene involving BB8 repairing Poe's X-Wing. I actually don't hate this scene, but I wanted BB8 to be less of a deus-ex machina and removing it helps with that.

Additionally, I added a small deleted at the very beginning in order to establish Poe a little bit earlier.
