Mahamudullah Riyad is a popular cricketer of Bangladesh. He is dependable all-rounder of Bangladesh Cricket Team who bats lower in the order and bowls off-spin. He is popularly known as Mahamudullah, his middle name He was born on 4 February 1986 in Mymensingh District, which is situated 115 Km from Dhaka. His father is Obaydullah and mother is Arafat Begum. He completed his secondary study from Mymensingh Zilla School and completed graduation from American International University Dhaka (AIUB).
After playing a domestic performance for Dhaka Division and Central Zone Mahamudullah got a place in the national squad 2007 and he has not looked back ever since.
He is the son of Mymensingh and grown up there. He learned the basics of cricket there also. In 2000 Mahamadullah moved to Dhaka because he was called up for the under-19 Asia Cup Squad. Mahamudullah started his career as an off-break bowler but since has been more utilized as a middle order batsman. He impressed on his first-class debut, which is a fewer example in cricket yard.

Mahamudullah made his debut in Bangladesh-A Team against the host Zimbabwe-A Team. He scored 55 in the first innings and 42 in the second innings and emerged as the joint man of the match alongside Raqibul Hasan. He made his international debut in the third international of Bangladesh’s tour of Srilanka in 2007. He scored 36 and picked up two wickets including Tilkarante Dilshan in the final ODI match.
He made his Test debut in 2009 against West Indies. He picked three wickets in the first innings and a five-wicket haul in the second innings. In the year 2012, he created a score as an unbeaten 75 against Zimbabwe in the third ODI at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. He got the highest score for Bangladesh batsman in ODI’s batting at No-7.
Mahmudullah Riyad World Cup Record
Mahamudullah created a huge record in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. He scored 103 against England and helped Bangladesh to earn the ticket of the quarter final. On that Match he became the first Bangladeshi player to score a World Cup century. Then he scored an unbeaten 128 against New Zealand. Mahammudullah also emerged a highest individual run gather for Bangladesh in the 2015 World Cup.
