In this talk we delve into three practical steps that you can start doing today to shift your relationship with the incessant activity of your mind and realize enlightenment. Many of us mistakenly identify with our thoughts as our true self, but in this session, we will go beyond theory and explore tangible ways to directly experience the truth that "we are not our thoughts."
We will begin by realizing that we can't stop thoughts altogether, but we can change our relationship with them. We will explore how to let go of thinking and instead become the witness of thoughts appearing, without getting caught up in their content. We will also confront the fears that arise when we consider letting go of thoughts, as the mind often tricks us into believing that constant thinking is necessary for our safety and sense of self.
Through practical techniques and exercises, we will learn how to identify less with our thoughts and instead be that which is aware of thoughts. We will explore how to dissolve fears that arise, so that we are no longer controlled by them, and how to confront the egoic mind that seeks to remain center-stage. With these three steps, you can start experiencing a shift in your relationship with your mind's activity and move closer to realizing enlightenment.
