Hush Acoustics' HD1038 is a highly rated acoustic floor system that has been tested in numerous environments where there is a requirement for outstanding acoustic sound control.
It is a solution which combines Hush Acoustics' own high quality sound insulation materials with class-leading 3rd party products to create the ultimate acoustic insulation system for floors.
Suitable for Conversion, Refurbishment and New Build Developments, Hush HD1038 is a fully developed economical sound insulation system for use in separating floor/ceiling construction. It is fully compliant with the Building Regulations covering all the UK nations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland). And it offers a 1 hour fire resistance at ceiling level.
The high performance of this acoustic floor system is achieved through its construction method as follows:
1. Hush-Panel 28 acoustic floor panels, all with T&G joints glued using the Hush-Bond Panel Adhesive, are laid over an 18mm/22mm chipboard deck and all perimeters sealed using Hush-Seal 20.
2. The Hush-MF system is then installed to the underside of the joists creating a minimum 150mm void from the underside of the joists to the back of the plasterboard lining.
3. Hush Slab 100 Sound Absorber is then tightly installed within the ceiling void
4. A double plasterboard layer is fitted to the underside of the Hush-MF system, a lining that should consist of 19mm Plasterboard Plank and 12.5mm Soundbloc.
5. All perimeters are then sealed using the Hush Acoustic Sealant prior to skimming.
Acoustic Performance *
