EIT Climate-KIC's Just Transformation Deep Demonstration in Rybnik is shaping (together with citizens) the new development strategy of this Silesian city based on systemic innovation. Rybnik is a city located in the heart of the largest coal-producing region in the European Union, which faces the challenge of energy transition and struggles against enormous air pollution. The city has an ambition to achieve climate neutrality and to transform into a liveable, greener place in the near future by phasing out coal.
