This recipe for Spicy Shrimp Tacos w/ an Avocado Crema is brought to the next level with the addition of @spicetribe, California Love Blend. The combination of chiles and garlic adds a great flavor to seafood, chicken or anything you'd put Chile powder on! #spicetribepartner
Ingredients
Shrimp:
1lb of peeled and deveined shrimp
1 1/2tsp of @spicetribe California Love All Purpose
Chile Blend:
- 1tsp of garlic powder
- 1tsp of salt and pepper
- 2tbsp of olive oil
juice from 1 lime
Crema:
- 1 large avocado
- 1 jalapeno
Itsp of salt and pepper
- 1 1/2tsp of @spicetribe California Love All Purpose
Chile Blend:
- 1 1/2 cups of greek yogurt
- 3tbsp avocado oil
- 3 clovers of garlic
juice from 2 limes
Tacos:
- 10 tortillas
- Green and red cabbage
- Limes for squeezing juice on top
Steps:
1. Start by adding your shrimp to a large bowl and covering with your olive oil and lime juice. Mix this well to get them all nice and coated. Once coated follow in with your California Love, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix until all the shrimp are coated.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a touch of oil and cook shrimp for 90 seconds on each side making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Once shrimp are cooked remove from heat.
3. In a food processor add your avocado, jalapeño, salt, pepper, California Love, greek yogurt, avocado oil, garlic and lime juice. Blend this on high until nice and smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add water 1tbsp at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
4. Assemble your tacos by adding shrimp, cabbage and avocado crema to a tortilla and enjoy!
