Breath-Work Breakthrough 7-Day Challenge - [ Ссылка ]
Most Common Rib Cage Movement Breath-Work Mistake:
When it comes to breath work, the biggest rib cage movement mistake is moving the rib cage as a unit rather than allowing relative motion of the ribs, sternum, and spine.
The primary issue here is that people are trying too hard and over-breathing.
This over-breathing creates increased superficial and accessory muscle activity that actually reduces the relative contribution of the diaphragm.
The diaphragm is the primary muscle of respiration and for most of us, training the diaphragm to increase its contribution to breathing is probably a good idea.
The solution is simple:
Instead of focusing on big breaths, focus on long duration, gentle inhales and exhales.
This will allow relative movement of the ribs, sternum, and spine, optimal movement of the diaphragm, and it will help to encourage a relaxation response, which is often a primary goal of breath-work.
If you want help improving movement through breath work, make sure to take my Breath-Work Breakthrough 7-day Challenge.
As always, thanks for watching!
We will see you next time!
