No tip no trip? Cash tip? DoorDash drivers rely on customer tips to make money. So what happens when a customer doesn't tip in the app? Will they give the doordash driver a cash tip? In this video, I took 5 no (in app) tip orders to see if DoorDash customers will tip the dasher in person.

DoorDash drivers don't earn an hourly wage and we have to cover all of our own expenses. The average base pay in the United States for DoorDash drivers is $2.50 per order... That's it... That means, if the customer doesn't tip, most of us will make less than $3.00 per order we accept.
That's why customer tips are so important to DoorDash Dashers.

I've seen many customers claim that they tip cash in person, and I've talked to many drivers who claim the same. But will they tip cash when I show up?
