Median Nerve
Spinal Nerve Roots - C5-T1
Terminal Branch of Brachial Plexus
Motor Innervation: Forearm flexors, thenar muscles and two lateral lumbricals that move the index and middle fingers.
Sensory Innervation: Lateral palm and lateral three and lateral side of fourth finger.
Enters forearm between humeral and ulnar heads of pronator teres muscle. (Site where anterior interosseous branch is given off).
Continues distally between Flexor Digitorum Profundus and Flexor Digitorum Superficialis (FDS) muscles in forearm.
Then passes through the carpal tunnel.
