The interior of the 3500 is where Bombardier have clearly focused most of their development time. Within the cabin, there are impressive features that are not usually found on an aircraft of this size.
Firstly, the Nuage seat. This seat delivers class-defining comfort, along with the industry’s first zero-gravity position. The patented tilt link system for a zero-gravity position provides a neutral body posture to reduce pressure on the lower back.
Next up is inflight technology. The cabin features the industry’s first voice-controlled cabin. For example, passengers are able to control the lighting, temperature, entertainment, and flight information all through their voices. Moreover, the voice control system has been designed to work without an internet connection.
An additional feature is the first-in-class wireless chargers located throughout the cabin, which allows them to charge their compatible phones without the requirement for power cables.
This also plays into the increased integration between the aircraft and the user’s personal devices. The Challenger 3500 also benefits from a low cabin altitude, in fact, when cruising at 41,000 feet or 12.5 kilometers the Challenger 3500 has a cabin altitude of just 4,850 feet or 1,480 meters.

In the words of Bombardier, “the Challenger 3500 aircraft features the best-equipped cockpit in its class.” The cockpit features a clean workspace with all the switches and buttons at eye level or below, and an advanced avionics suite with four large displays.
The cockpit features a standard autothrottle system. The autothrottle system can be used in all phases of flight, including go-around and single engine operation, and is outfitted to meet current and upcoming navigational requirements.
The cockpit also features Head-up Displays with Enhanced Vision System and Synthetic Vision System. The Synthetic Vision System is a high-fidelity computer-generated image of the terrain that is depicted on the pilot's displays, regardless of weather conditions.
Pilots will also find a MultiScan weather radar from Collins Aerospace: the radar is fully automatic as it adjusts the tilt and gain through multiple scans, removes ground clutter from the database, and gives pilots perfect visibility of the weather 45 minutes ahead of them. This radar is so advanced that it will interpret weather differently depending on where the aircraft is flying.
Pilots will also find Dual Inertial Reference System, Dual SBAS/WAAS GPS, and Dual Flight Management System with LPV and RNP approach capabilities.

The Challenger 3500 is powered by two rear-mounted Honeywell HTF7350 engines with each one producing 7,323 lbs of thrust. This combination is able to push the aircraft to a maximum speed of 553 knots or Mach 0.83, a maximum cruise speed of 533 knots, and up to a maximum cruising altitude of 45,000 feet or 13.7 kilometers.
The Challenger 3500 has a maximum range of 3400 nautical miles, which is 3,910 miles or 6,300 kilometers. The plane can take off in 4,835 feet or 1,475 meters, and has a minimum landing distance of just 2,364 feet or 720 meters, all while maintaining a maximum net payload of 3,400 lbs or 1,540 kilograms.
