Pediatrician Tanya Altmann explains how babies can often be encumbered by acne, which is often due to the transfer of hormones from the mother to the baby. Acne is completely harmless and will go away in time, so it’s nothing to stress about. If your baby has acne, it can help to wash their face with mild, unscented baby soap and water. If their acne gets worse, speak with your doctor about introducing an over-the-counter, 1% Hydrocortisone cream for a few days to tame the acne down.
