Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has released his plan for a post-war Gaza, which would allow the IDF to act freely within the demilitarised zone.
The plan has been rejected by Palestinian officials and also runs counter to America's vision of post-war Palestine.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office says it will serve as a basis for discussion going forward.
It would see Israel maintain full security control of the Gaza Strip - including the border between Gaza and Israel, as well as Gaza and Egypt.
The proposed plan also allows the Israeli military to go in and out of Gaza at will to conduct raids.
