A southbound trip on the M1 Motorway, from Leicester Forest East Service Station to the Catthorpe Interchange at Junction 19, where the M1 meets the M6 and A14.
The M1 is one of the two backbone north-south motorways in the UK. The section from St Albans to Junction 18 had been the first intercity motorway in the UK when it opened in 1959. The first extension to the M1 up to junction 24 opened 6 years later in November 1965 and it is this section which features in the video.
