Magyar Telephone & Radio (MTR) interval signals and a couple of announcements. Telefon Hírmondó or telephone newspaper was a system that broadcast news and music to its audience in Budapest as early as 1893 before radio was invented. Subscribers enjoyed live music at home direct from the opera theater and news updates delivered from morning until late in the evening. Telefon Hirmondo started operating as a radio broadcaster by 1925 as the Magyar Telefon Hirmondó és Rádió but ceased after much its wire network was destroyed during World War II.
Included here are Radio Free Kossuth (Szabad Kossuth Rádió) relaying Imre Nagy's message to the Hungarian people during the anti-Soviet uprising of 1956. Radio Budapest shortwave interval signal and an announcement in 2007 concerning its foreign language service.
