Liberal MP Aaron Violi says he wishes where was “bipartisanship” between the Coalition and the Labor government to use nuclear power for the energy transition.
Mr Violi joined Sky News Australia to discuss the latest developments on the government’s plan to stick to renewables and avoid nuclear energy.
“Frankly, I wish there wasn’t a fight,” he said.
“It’s quite hypocritical of this government – they’re quick to criticise us.
“But when we bring forward a positive policy that can provide net zero baseload power, you see Minister Bowen insulting many in the Coalition, not even being prepared to have the conversation.”
