Unboxing and reviewing the Hornby GWR High Speed Train set (R1230M) featuring the classic Intercity 125 train in the current GWR livery. The set contains two Class 43 power cars and a single mark 3 coach, an analogue controller and a loop of track with siding. It's an analogue set, but the train is DCC ready, so you can drop a decoder in and away you go on a digital layout.
It's a good set and if you can pick it up for less than £100 then it's great value, however, when we take a closer look there are a few things that Hornby could have done to make this Hornby train set really amazing.
