Where do we use ТЫ and ВЫ?
ТЫ and ВЫ translate into English as YOU
In English you can say YOU to anybody in singular and plural forms, in formal and informal ways
but in Russian there'are some differences.
When do you use ТЫ?
ТЫ is an Informal and singular form.
When you speak to your friends or to a person who you know well, to kid, for example.
ВЫ you can use in 2 cases:
When ВЫ is formal and singular.
When you don't know person well, when you speak to elder people, to strangers, to salesman, to taxi driver, to waitress and etc
A person who you see for the first time you use ВЫ.
Teachers say ВЫ to students, doctors say ВЫ to patients...
When ВЫ is plural.
When you want to say smth more than two persons.
