Severe weather warnings remain in force for Southern New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania as a slow moving weather system brings heavy rain, flooding and damaging winds.
Victoria has been told to prepare for a once in 50-year flooding event with parts of the state's north recording over 100 millimetres of rain overnight.
