Manor House Stables is a successful training yard in Malpas, Cheshire and owned by former Ballon d'Or-winning footballer, Michael Owen. After parting company with the previous resident trainer, Tom Dascombe in December, Owen recently appointed a successor in the form of Classic-winning trainer, Hugo Palmer, who has relocated from Newmarket.
Despite the recent change of personnel, the stable is hoping to put together a handy team of horses (albeit smaller than previous years, due to the changeover) for the upcoming Chester May Festival (which runs 4-6 May, next week), a local meeting that the yard has always supported well.
