Have you heard of an internal bra? This is a technique plastic surgeons use to provide additional support for breast implants.
One method of doing this is to use a product called GalaFLEX. In this video, Dr. Killeen's patient's previous implants had dropped lower than they should have, so she used a GalaFLEX sleeve to ensure the new implants had the support they needed.
GalaFLEX is a temporary, absorbable scaffold used to strengthen, stabilize and support weak tissue. It was designed to provide support immediately after surgery, allowing your body the time to heal and create a healthy new tissue plane containing primarily mature collagen. By doing this, the plastic surgeon ensures that the new capsule that forms around the patient's implant will be stronger and more supportive as the mesh dissolves and is replaced by collagen.
