Kauto Star completed back-to-back victories in the Tingle Creek with victory in the 2006 renewal at Sandown, easily beating Voy Por Ustedes by seven lengths to earn a rating of 166.
The star chaser would go unbeaten during the 2006/07 season, going on from Sandown to land the King George at Kempton, the Aon Chase at Newbury, before eventually capping a memorable campaign with a dominant victory in the 2007 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
