Having a stable grip on your cue is essential for your progress as a snooker player. Holding the cue the right way gives you more control over your shots. There are a few types of grips, but in this lesson I’ll show you the two most common ones:
Timing grip: This is when you form a ring around your cue with the pointing finger and the thumb.
Pressure grip: This is when you form a ring around your cue with the middle finger and the thumb.

So… why is the grip important? Because having the wrong grip can alter the pressure of your strоке and thus affecting the timing of the shot. This can make your shots less accurate.
