Salt is soluable in water and dissovles to make saltwater. Solubility is a physical change and can be reversed. When saltwater is placed in an evaporating dish and heated, the water will boil when it reaches 100oC and transform into a gas, steam. When all the water is boiled off, only the white salt remains.
