My Hoya obovata died from root rot again. But having nothing to lose, I took some cuttings with withered leaves and stuck them in water. Honestly, I didn’t think there was a chance they would make it.
2 months later, the leaves plumped up - AND it threw out roots… and even new vines! I absolutely love watching hoyas put out roots in water.
I promptly potted it up in a chunky epiphytic mix and watered it with the propagation water. This is because the plant is used to that water.
Hoyas are easy to kill, but they are also easy to rescue and propagate. I love the way their throw out their succulent leaves, and pet them whenever I can.
