Recently Assam govt announced a two child policy as a population control measure. From 2021, you cannot get a government job if you have more than two children. Across India, many MPs in the parliament have been demanded a nationwide two child policy or a population control bill as a solution to the overpopulation. Can it really be a solution? What can the be the negative and positive outcomes of it? I analyse these questions using examples from history and statistics.
