You just can't win em all. Sure, we caught some fish of a lifetime this year, but we also got skunked a couple times. It's the nature of fishing. The one thing I find misleading is how YouTube anglers usually only show their most insane catches or just the highlights. In reality, every real fisherman knows that's not the case as fishing often times will test your patience and demeanor.
In this case, we had a trip planned to do some kayak fishing on the East coast of Florida and our flight was cancelled due to Hurricane Alberto. So we packed up ALL of our tackle, gear, and kayaks and embarked on the 12 hour journey. As you will see in this video, we spent hours on the water and didn't catch much. I also show you how we set up our tackle for efficient kayak fishing, so tune in.
One good battle with a tuna was cut short after it got sharked -- the taxman doesn't play any games! Cleaned my line off like it was nothing! 🦈We had another bite, with what we thought to be a sailfish, that ran right at us with the line and then snapped it without the tension.
I want to show you the reality of fishing and what being a true angler is all about. Rain, sun, clouds, and even hurricanes in the area (be safe obviously), sometimes you just gotta fish through it. That's what makes you a better angler as you grow to love the journey of your fishing career. 🙌🏼
Thanks for watching and sorry for the long story, just wanted to share with you all.
