SHAKE AND BAKE CAULIFLOWER | Oven-Baked Crispy Cauliflower (Vegan Recipe)
I've seen a lot of recipes lately for crispy breaded cauliflower (AKA Cauliflower Wings, Vegan Cauliflower Wings, etc). I decided to come up with a method of my own, because I wanted an option that could easily be made gluten-free and vegan, since a lot of folks have these dietary needs and there's nothing worse than making a bunch of food for friends just to find out that half of them can't eat it.
This Shake & Bake Cauliflower is simple to make, and they are delicious with any kind of dip you can imagine. I hope you like this easy vegan recipe!
Ingredients:
10 large cauliflower florets
For the batter:
4 tablespoons water
4 tablespoons cornstarch (corn flour)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
For the bread crumb coating:
1 cup fresh (soft) bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
1. Wash and dry cauliflower florets
2. Prepare batter and bread crumb mixture in two separate bowls
3. Toss cauliflower florets in batter first, making sure the batter gets into all the nooks and crannies.
4. Transfer the cauliflower florets directly into the soft bread crumb mixture, ensuring the bread crumbs coat each floret thoroughly.
5. Arrange on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet
6. Drizzle with oil (optional)
7. Bake at 425-450 for 25-35 minutes or until desired crispiness has been achieved!
