Hundreds of people have been arrested in the Netherlands after violent protests against the country's first nationwide curfew since the Second World War.
Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse crowds in cities including Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Haarlem.
The Dutch curfew runs from 9pm until 4:30am and is seen by many as an affront to liberal democracy.
However, it is believed many attending have simply taken advantage of the protests to engage in opportunistic vandalism.
