DNX571HD HDMI Head-unit overheated and froze then when i turned the car back on the head unit was dead, a black screen and the red light would turn on for a minute then turn off. I could press the red button and it would kick the fan on for a minute then dead again, the screen remained black. This is the fix.
After hours of google searching possible causes and fixes, after completing undoing all the wires and redoing them, checking fuses, trying resets, unplugging car battery, nothing worked until the Reflow, it’s the same for the old Xbox 360 red ring of death fix.

I ultimately left the DVD/CD player out and left the aluminum cover that touches the daughterboard out, it is said that’s what causes the heat build up so i figured why even put it back in.
