The crossbench could derail Labor's controversial industrial relations bill.
Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke wants the bill passed before politicians leave Canberra for the summer break.
However, Independent Senator David Pocock has warned he would not rush to support the bill, arguing that three weeks isn’t enough time to consider what he describes as the biggest change to industrial relations law in a decade.
Mr Pocock cited the multi-employer bargaining provisions as an issue.
