He earned bronze at the Osaka Grand Slam as he went 5-1 in his homeland. Sanshiro took silver at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2019. World Mixed team gold in Tokyo in 2019. He bagged a gold medal at the Grand Slam in Kazan in 2021. He started 2022 well with gold at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2022. He won the Asian title in 2022 and Grand Slam bronze in Topyo in 2022.

Georgian judoka Lasha Bekauri became Olympic Champion at the 2020 Tokyo Games. He became European Champion in 2021 in Lisbon. He claimed a bronze medal at the World Championships in Tashkent in 2022. Lasha won the 2018 Junior world title in Nassau. He captured the gold at the World U21 Championships in Marrakech in 2019. He took the Cadet World title in 2017 and European Cadet title in 2017 in Kaunas. Lasha captured the Junior European title in 2019 in Vaantaa. Lasha took gold at Grand Slam Tel Aviv and Tbilisi in 2023. He bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2022.
