American broadcaster Rush Limbaugh has died at the age of 70 just over a year after he revealed he was receiving medical treatment for stage four lung cancer.
His wife, Kathryn Limbaugh, announced his death on his talk radio program 'The Rush Limbaugh Show' declaring he will forever be "the greatest of all time".
The conservative host's national radio career spanned more than three decades.
Former president Donald Trump awarded him the country's highest civilian honour, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, days after his diagnosis was revealed last February.
