Prior to the 1990-91 divisional round of the NFL playoffs between the Chicago Bears and New York Giants, defensive coordinator Bill Belichick, despite having the best defense in football, decided that it wasn't good enough, and decided to completely overhaul the defense by introducing an alignment that New York had never played before.
