Kisan Diwas 2020 Special Rice Bhakri & Thecha! As India celebrates its day dedicated to the farmers, here's a quintessential combination of Maharashtra's farmers' favourites; Bhakri (a Maharashtrian version of Roti) & Thecha (a spicy mix of chillies)! What better way to celebrate this day than to cook farmers' food at home, right?
Ingredients needed for Thecha -
- 250 gm green chillies
-8-10 garlic cloves
-5-10 coriander stems
- 1 TSP jeera
- Salt to taste
How to make thecha -
1) In a bowl, take some oil.
2) Once the oil is hot, add jeera, garlic cloves & green chillies. Saute a bit.
3) Add salt to taste.
4) Cover & cook a bit.
5) Add coriander stems. Toss & mix a bit.
6) Coarsely grind in a mixer.
Ingredients needed for Bhakri -
- 150 ml water
- 250 gm rice flour
How to make Rice Bhakri -
- Boil 150ml water and add to 250g rice flour.
- Knead, cover and keep
- Make balls & shape into a shape of a roti
- Broil on tava on both sides
- Serve hot with thecha.
