The "Yeshivat Mekubbalim Kahal Kadosh Chasidim Beth El" was established in the year 1733 (תצ״ג) by Rabbi Gedaliah Hayion ztzk"l (of blessed memory) in the Old City of Jerusalem. Later, led the Yeshiva the Giant in Spirit, Teacher and our Rabbi the Rasha”sh (Rabbeinu Shalom Sharabi) haKadosh ztzk”l. Until today the Yeshiva opens its doors to anyone who decides to learn the wisdom of the Kabbalah according to the ancestral teachings of our Kabbalist teachers.
In the "Jerusalem Liberation War" the Yeshivah was destroyed and relocated to the Rashi Street in Jerusalem.
After the “Six Day War” our Teacher and Rabbi of the Kotel (Western Wall) (Wailing Wall) and the director of the Yeshiva Rabbi Yehuda Getz ztzk”l (of blessed memory) restored the study in the Yeshiva, rehabilitated it and rebuilt its ruins.
In the year 1995 (תשנ״ה) the Gaon (sage) Rab Getz departed from this world and since then his outstanding student, the Devoted and Holy Mekubbal Rabbi Israel Abihaí shelit”a took his place in the leadership of the Yeshivah.
The Yeshivah is located in its historic building in the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem, which was used for centuries by the Kabbalists and Great Sages of each generation.
Also today, as before, the Rabbis of the Yeshiva dedicate day and night to the teaching of the Kabbalah (Torat haKabbalah), performing daily prayers and Tikkunim ("Arrangements") for the entire people of Israel in the hope of a near Redemption in our days… Amen!
