How much would you have if you invested 1,000 dollars in Apple at the IPO?
Apple went public on the 12th of December, 1980 at $22.00 per share.
The stock has split five times since the IPO, so on a split-adjusted basis the IPO share price was $0.10.
At the present time I am shooting this video a share of Apple is worth 171 dollars and 32 cents.
So from its IPO apple had a 171,220% increase in value and 1,000 dollars would be worth now 1,713,200 dollars.
And this doesn’t take into account dividends.
