There certainly are times when you may need to make a loud ruckus with a frog in order to attract attention to your lure to excite and trigger fish to strike at it. However, a real frog swimming creates a subtle, stealthy, almost bobbing action on top, barely causing a ripple - just like a slowly-worked hollow belly frog does! So take a good look and don't overwork your hollow belly frog. As anglers, we want them to pop, splash, frantically walk-the-dog yet as we see, that is not how a real frog acts on top. Shouldn't your hollow belly frog do the same? (Video courtesy of Bill Bjork)
