The data collected spans all the way back to 2008 and shows clear, specific points when fencing has changed. In this video I discuss the effects of those changes on the game of fencing. One important point I forgot to mention in the video: it seems as though men's and women's fencing were both affected similarly by the two major changes mentioned in the video, though the changes in the numbers for women were always less extreme than they were for men in both cases
