You need to make sure your training optimises event performance. Coach John Shepherd (www.johnshepherdfitness.com/blog) talks about transition exercises that dovetail into the specific requirements of the triple jump and which are designed to facilitate physical, mental and skill transference.
Don't leave yourself with a chasm to literally jump between training and competition. Gradually and systematically progress your training to get comp ready. Always focus on the real needs of the event and this will pay dividends. I've said it before, don't become the 'king or queen of the short approach' and don't neglect full run-up training (with hop off). No matter how good you are, you won't jump as far as you would from a longer run-up if you don't transition. Good luck.
