This video will show you how I do easy lap joints on my miter saw and how simple it is which makes it perfect if you are a beginner woodworker!
This is an easy way to do a cross or lap joint on your miter saw. Most joints like this require a dado blade on a table saw, hand saw, or a router. For this LAP JOINT you only need a MITER SAW and a few equal pieces of wood. I do show you a trick to getting a straight cut with your miter, which can be difficult since the blade is curved. BUT NEVER FEAR - I GOT YOU BOO!
If you are comfortable using a miter saw this is a great trick for you. I used this joint to make a few planter stands (that video is up next) and I have also used it to cut some cross pieces in tables and decorative X’s on side tables.
Thanks for watching!
