We had the great opportunity to talk with Grand Master Relson Gracie, 9th degree Red Belt and second oldest son of GM Helio Gracie.
He tells the story of his dad's Academy in Rio Branco Avenue, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
According to Relson, "everybody comes from therel", meaning that Helio Gracie taught all the new generation of Gracies, including his cousins (Carlson, Robson, Reyson, etc) and all his brothers (Rolls, Rorion, Rickson, etc).
He also talks about GM Carlos Gracie Sr., the rivalry between Gracie Academy and Carlson's Team, Rolls Gracie, the very first Jiu-Jitsu competition in 1962 and much more!
