Nearly 500 miles on the BMW R1250GS, shod with the OEM Michelin Anakee Adventure tyres. Great tyre, but at 36 mph-50 mph there is a grinding noise, coming up through the fork tunnel.
To see if it was the tyres or a design issue with the bike, I took out a GSA, wearing Michelin Road 6's, from my local BMW dealership.
Instantly they were much much quieter. Returned to the dealer and ordered a set to be fitted next week, when the bike goes in for its first service.
The Anakee adventure is a great tyre , plenty of grip and you can ride it hard, but for me, where I live, it's just way too noisy .For you, it may be fine.
The Michelin Road 6's will be around the £300 mark for the pair.
Thanks to Greg, from The Mansell Collection for letting me use his GSA.
